CORK MAKES HISTORY AND WINS BIG AS NATIONAL LOTTERY’S FIRST ON-LINE JACKPOT WINNER COLLECTS €5,513,556
It was a happy and historic day in National Lottery offices when the first winner of a Lotto jackpot won through the National Lottery’s ‘Play On-Line’ service collected their Lotto jackpot of €5,513,556.
The lucky player, who wishes his win to be a private one, purchased an €8 Quickpick number selection online on Friday 5 February 2010, and won the jackpot on weekend Lotto on Saturday 6 February 2010. His lucky Quickpick winning numbers were:

The winner is from Cork, and describes himself as ‘a working married man with a family’, who has been playing Lottery games on-line since the National Lottery offered the service in March 2009.
‘I find that it’s very handy to play Lottery games on-line and given the luck I’ve now had, I’d definitely say that I’ll be playing on-line with the National Lottery from now on’, smiled the lucky man as he sipped a celebratory glass of champagne with members of his family in Dublin today.
